«Different distances» a entièrement été enregistré avec l'orgue de l'église Annenkirche, à Saint-Pétersbourg, actuellement en reconstruction suite à un incendie.

Il n'a pas le traditionnel son puissant des tubes car il s’agit d’un orgue électronique.

Vadim révèle les caractéristiques de timbres de cet instrument ainsi que sa nature artificielle tout au long de l’album, alternant entre l’acoustique large et enveloppante de l’église et des sons électroniques plus secs. On retrouve ces mêmes variations dans la forme musicale, en passant de textures harmoniques abstraites à des compositions plus strictes. Des enregistrements réalisés à Chiesa Di San Pietro in Montorio et dans les rues de Rome viennent aussi affecter de temps à autre le tissu musical, jusqu’à pousser l’instrument au second plan pour occuper tout l’espace sonore.

«Different distances» are fully recorded with the organ, in the Annenkirche church in St Petersburg, where after the fire reconstruction works are being conducted.
There is no potent traditional sound of the pipes. Here we’re talking about the electronic church organ powered by lamps.
Vadim consistently reveal the timbre characteristics of the instrument and its artificial nature, alternating acoustic plans and narrowing the space of the temple till the front part of the speaker. Besides, «Different distances» include some field recordings. He made them in Chiesa Di San Pietro in Montorio and on the streets of Rome. Periodically, they displace the organ and become paramount.
